NH Campaign for Legal Services and New Hampshire Legal Assistance Hire Annmarie Timmins as Communications Associate

Jan. 6, 2020 – CONCORD — NH Campaign for Legal Services and New Hampshire Legal Assistance (NHLA) are pleased to announce the recent hire of Annmarie Timmins of Concord as communications associate.

NHLA is a statewide nonprofit law firm that represents low-income and elderly clients in civil cases that impact their basic needs. The Campaign is the joint fundraising campaign for NHLA and an affiliated legal aid program, the Legal Advice and Referral Center of Concord.

Timmins comes to this position from Reaching Higher NH, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting public education, where she worked as a project manager and communications director for Manchester Proud.

Previously, Timmins worked for many years as a reporter for the Concord Monitor, much of it reporting on New Hampshire courtsShe has also worked as a middle school guidance counselor. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from UNH and her Masters of Education Degree in School Counseling from Plymouth State University.

“Annmarie brings exceptional knowledge of the court system in New Hampshire, a demonstrated understanding of the current media landscape and a deep sense of empathy. Her skills will exponentially strengthen the Campaign’s work highlighting the impact equal access to justice can make for people and communities in New Hampshire,” said Sarah Palermo, Campaign for Legal Services Director.

Timmins also serves on the board of Riverbend Community Mental Health and is a volunteer coach with Girls on the Run.
