Attorney General Gordon MacDonald opened today’s Lunch with Legal Aid with a confession:

“I’ve been practicing law since 1995, and my admission is that when I walk into a courtroom, to this day, I get butterflies in my stomach.”

“Now, imagine walking in as a young mother seeking help with domestic abuse, or as a veteran on the brink of losing critical benefits, or as a tenant about to face eviction, and having to represent yourself. Of all the causes and undertakings I have had the privilege to be exposed to as a lawyer, none has been more satisfying than my pro bono work and work on behalf of the Campaign.”
