Thank you to our 2023 Pacesetter law firms! The attorneys at our 2023 Pacesetter Law Firms stand as leaders for access to justice in New Hampshire. Pacesetter Law Firms are those whose contributions total at least $500 per attorney. Together, they donated more than $75,000 in unrestricted funding to the Campaign for Legal Services last year, enabling 603 Legal Aid and NH Legal Assistance (NHLA) to provide access to justice to families, seniors and domestic violence survivors across the state.
The attorneys at PRISM Conflict Solutions understand the importance of access to justice. They have represented clients who otherwise would not have had counsel. They have given their time and energy and expertise to legal aid organizations, including 603 Legal Aid and NH Legal Assistance.
Currently Melinda Gehris is the Chair of the Board of 603 Legal Aid. Her deeper involvement with the organization has strengthened the desire of all the members of the organization to be active in creating more opportunities for clients who need assistance.
“Looking at the world through the lens of someone who needs assistance with a legal issue provides a new perspective. Rarely is the view that narrow,” Melinda said. “Most of the legal issues our attorneys see are also issues of housing, food insecurity, medical access and case, employment, domestic violence, and discrimination. Our staff recognize the breadth of the need for access to justice. Any little part we can do to increase that is worthwhile.”
